Korean Gastronomy Week begins at Stellar Steakhouse with Chef Kim Won-gi, presenting a special Korean contemporary food and wine pairing dinner. Chef Kim Won-gi is the Head Chef of Ong-i in Seoul, specialising in contemporary Korean fine dining. Known for presenting Korean cuisine through a modern fine-dining lens, he brings together traditional Korean flavours, carefully selected ingredients and contemporary culinary techniques. The set menu in the event begins with OmyNara Sparkling Wine “Kyol”, followed by a sequence of Korean-inspired dishes paired with French wines, concluded with dessert accompanied by Gowoon Dar – OmyNara’s premium distilled spirit, adding a final note of Korean character to the evening.
3 Spoons welcomes Guest Chef Hwang Nam Yeon from Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and Chef Kang Hyun Oh from Parnas Jeju for a special Korean culinary showcase.
The chefs will present a selection of Korean specialties featuring this year’s highlighted ingredients, including traditional Korean spirits, fermented ingredients, premium chicken, gingseng and seafood. The experience offers guests the opportunity to enjoy familiar Korean flavours alongside regional ingredients and seasonal produce. A Korean spirit tasting featuring Andong Soju will also accompany the events, introducing guests to the special character of traditional Korean beverages.
Stroll through the hotel’s lobby to explore the distinctive world of Korean Minhwa – traditional folk painting celebrated for its expressive aesthetics, symbolic imagery and storytelling.
